     Capt. Ezekiel Jones was born on 11 November 1758 in Holliston, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.3,1,2,4 He was the son of Jonathan Jones and Mary Wood.1,2,3,4 Capt. Ezekiel Jones was christened on 27 March 1763 in Milford, Worcester County, Massachusetts. On 9 May 1782 Ezekiel, at age 23, married Mary Wight, at age 19, daughter of Eleazer Wight and Ruth Legg, in Milford, Worcester County, Massachusetts.1,2,4 Ballou (1882) writes: "He was an honest, peaceable, laborious citizen. Our elderly and middle-aged inhabitants will remember him as a trustworthy marketman and common carrier. In ante-railroad days, even down to old age, driving that covered horse-wagon every week regularly to Boston, carrying and fetching many good things for his townsman, and often wearily trudging on foot to favor his laden horse.1" Capt. Ezekiel Jones died on Wednesday, 13 August 1845 in Milford, Worcester County, Massachusetts, at age 86 years, 9 months and 2 days of dropsy.1,2,4
