Daniel Adams was born on 12 January 1686 in Medfield, Norfolk County, Massachusetts.1,2,3,4,5,6,7 He was the son of John Adams and Deborah Partridge.1,2,3,4,5,6,7 He is said to have been the first white settler of Medway.6 In 1711 in Medford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, Daniel married Sarah Sanford, daughter of Deacon Thomas Sanford and Christian unknown.2,3,7 Daniel Adams left a will on 5 September 1772 in Medway, Norfolk County, Massachusetts.6 He died on Saturday, 12 September 1772 in Medway, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, at age 86 years and 8 months.8,6 Daniel's will was proved on 23 October 1772.6 There is much confusion as to the birth's of Daniel's early children. Jameson (1886) seems to have many of the dates wrong. Others have copied him to the confusion of the record. I have used Woods (1905) as the accurate source until the original record can be checked.
