     Judith of Bavaria was born about 800 in Bavaria.2 She was the daughter of Welf I Duke of Bavaria, Count in the Entgau and Egilwich Abbess of Challes.1,2 Judith of Bavaria was also known as Judith von Altdorf. In February 819 Judith married Louis I "the Fair" Emperor of the West, son of Charlemagne Emperor of the West and Hildegarde Countess in Linzgau.1,2,3 Judith of Bavaria died on Sunday, 19 April 843 in Tours, Indre-et-Loire, France.1,2
