Herluin Viscount of Conteville was born about 1001 in Normandie, France.2 He was the son of John of Tonsburgh Earl of Comwyn, Baron of Tonsburgh.1,2 Between 1028 and 1033 Herluin married Harlette de Falaise, daughter of Fulbert of Falaise and Dode. Robert I, Duke of Normandy, asked Herluin to marry Herleve if he didn't return from the Crusade, which he didn't.3,4,1,2,5 Herluin Viscount of Conteville died about 1066.2 He was buried in Abbey of St Grestain, Grestain, France.2
