Eudoxia Comnena was born about 1168.1 She was the daughter of Alexies Comnenus and Marie Dukaina.1 Eudoxia was to marry Alfonso II, King of Aragon, but when she arrived to Barcelona, he had already married Sancha so they agreed to have her married to the lord of Montpellier and that the first daughter they had would marry his heir. This way was solved a big "international relations mistake."2 Between 1178 and 1179 Eudoxia married William VIII Seigneur de Montpellier, son of William VII Duke of Montpellier and Montferrier and Mathilda of Burgundy Dame de Montferrier.1 Eudoxia Comnena and William VIII Seigneur de Montpellier were divorced in 1187.1 She became a nun on 4 November 1202.1 Eudoxia Comnena died after 4 November 1202 a nun.1
